POCKETART: Fairy Tales
The performance combines elements of well-known fairy tale narratives with current questions about the role of femininity in our world. Sisterhood, acceptance, and dreaminess are the building blocks on which the process of discovering new identities and transcending the boundaries between tradition and modernity unfolds. Fairy tale stereotypes are not rejected, but reinterpreted — as sources of inspiration from which new stories and fantasies grow.
Accompanied by live singing and music, the dancers move between worlds of authentic experiences and stylized roles. Each of them brings their own unique perspective, together creating a mosaic in which humor, absurdity, and deep emotions intertwine. Fairy Tales is thus a psychedelic dive into the female personality and a celebration of the freedom to dream and create one's own fairy tales.
