We’re looking for bold voices who can turn the climate crisis into intelligent entertainment!
Do you feel like everything has already been said about the climate crisis, but rarely with humor that doesn’t overdo it? Do you think the only way to cope with environmental despair is to laugh about it together? Sign up for our open call.
In collaboration with Underground Comedy, we’re announcing an open call for comedians—both men and women, individuals and groups. We’re looking for people who want to use the microphone to transform environmental topics into funny and thought-provoking stand-up comedy.
We’re inspired by projects like the American platform Inside the Greenhouse and the Scottish comedian and environmental economist Dr. Matt Winning, who—with support from Culture for Future—will perform his stand-up at the Inspiration Forum of the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival on October 25, 2026. Come see him and soak up a healthy dose of inspiration!
All of them prove that it’s possible to talk about the climate with ease, without moralizing, and with tremendous audience success. Show us that clever satire and hyperbole can spark interest where boring lectures fail, and submit your act.

1st Place
The winner will receive a fee of 20,000 CZK to create a medium-length stand-up routine (20–30 min) and for their first performance, as well as intensive support for developing their material:
Consultations: Depending on the chosen topic, you’ll have the opportunity to consult with experts who will help you refine your jokes to ensure they’re factually accurate.
A chance to perform at the Underground Comedy Club and test your material.
Final show at ARCHA+: An evening featuring the open call finalists alongside selected professional comedians.
Long-term collaboration with CFF and UC: Ongoing exploration of opportunities and securing performance slots throughout the Czech Republic (festivals, events, tours, etc.).
2nd place
A cash prize of 4,000 CZK and the opportunity to perform at the final show at ARCHA+.
3rd place
A cash prize of 2,000 CZK and the opportunity to perform in the final show at ARCHA+.
- Experienced and advanced comedians—both male and female—who want to incorporate meaningful and timely topics into their repertoire. Anyone with a sense of satire who can comment on the current state of the world, greenwashing, the controversy surrounding wind farms, or the absurdity of political debates on climate change.
- Alternatively, stand-up teams of two to three people who would split the fee to create a series of two to three shorter stand-up routines (10–15 min).

Short sample of your work: A 2- to 3-minute video showing us your style or, if applicable, specific ideas for our open call.
