Why?
We want the younger generation in Prague to have a place where they can engage with culture and contribute to its development through their own creativity and the power of community. We are a professional production company, and we want to share our experience and put it to the test in practice. We seek out contemporary approaches and resonant themes, and we discover new faces of Czech culture.
We believe that a strong civil society should have a direct relationship with its institutions, not just through public funding. We offer donors the opportunity to be part of something bigger in Prague’s cultural scene and to support a meaningful representation of the younger generation.
We are self-sufficient to an above-average degree (48%). Without support from public budgets—particularly from the City of Prague—admission fees would be twice as high, or fewer than half of our projects would come to fruition. More likely, ARCHA+ simply wouldn’t exist. Nevertheless, due to inflation and declining support from the Ministry of Culture, our budget is tight. Your donation will primarily support ARCHA+’s own productions and programming, as well as the artists involved.
