Media literacy is one of the most important tools for life today - and it applies even to the youngest. Children are growing up in an environment where media, algorithms and the constant flow of information are an integral part of every day. This performance offers a unique way to approach these topics - through dance, gesture and shared experience, not through interpretation or a screen.

How do children perceive media content? How does it translate into their movement, the way they express themselves and think? What gestures speak to them? And how do we build their sensitivity to manipulation, fake news or the pressures of social media?

Choreographers and dancers Sabina Bočková and Johana Pocková adapted the original production Pit of Lions for young audiences as part of the international Shape It project, respecting children as active partners in the creation.

The dynamic narrative form shows how fun can easily turn dark - and back again. The performance is an opportunity to open up a discussion about media, entertainment, responsibility and freedom in a different way than through the screen of a phone - and perhaps even to take a moment to see the world through the eyes of today's children.
