HAEVN
Throughout their career, HAEVN have built a reputation as a band capable of creating an emotional and cinematic atmosphere not only in the studio but also live. The duo consists of singer Marijn van der Meer and composer Jorrit Kleijnen, who met while collaborating on music for commercials. Their first songs, Where the Heart Is and Finding Out More, were originally created as music for commercials, but after a great response from listeners, they were reworked into full-fledged singles. Over time, concert musicians joined HAEVN – guitarist Bram Doreleijers, bassist Mart Jeninga, and drummer David Broeders – and HAEVN began to make a name for themselves on major European stages. They have performed at prestigious festivals such as Lowlands and Eurosonic Noorderslag, and their concerts are often accompanied by string arrangements or entire symphony orchestras, making their concerts a unique experience.
Their debut album Eyes Closed was released in 2018 and immediately achieved extraordinary success, going platinum in the Netherlands. It was followed by the orchestral recording Symphonic Tales (2019), the intimate EP Holy Ground (2022), and their latest studio album Wide Awake (2024). The band collaborated with producer Tim Bran, known for his work with London Grammar and Birdy, and thanks to this, they gained an even stronger sound identity that straddles atmospheric orchestral arrangements and modern pop sounds. Among their best-known songs are Back in the Water, Fortitude, and Trade It For The Night, which have gained great popularity among music critics and fans alike, with millions of plays on streaming platforms.
The year 2025 is particularly special for HAEVN – the band is celebrating 10 years on the scene and is preparing for a European tour, which will also include Prague. They are thus confirming their place among the most prominent European bands of today, who know how to combine intimate emotions with spectacular musical expression and lyrics that reflect themes of personal growth, loss, love, and forgiveness. The Dutch duo will bring not only the biggest hits from their latest album Wide Awake to Prague's ARCHA+ venue, but also brand new singles, including the latest "Caught a Light (Mantra)" in collaboration with Neco Novellas.
