CFF + Knihex: Make your own eco-friendly notebook

workshop Culture for Future admission voluntary
Are you thinking about how to create your own products with respect for the environment and your ecological footprint? Or how to make a unique gift for your loved ones? We invite you to a workshop that we are organizing with the Reformát stationery store as part of this year's Knihex!

Venue: Holešovice Market Hall, Hall No. 13

Admission voluntary (proceeds will go towards paying for materials)

Come and make a notebook or exercise book with a simple V1 binding. We will guide you through the process, using old paper saved from disposal. In addition to gaining experience with bookbinding and some bookbinding machines, you will also learn how to create sustainably.

What will you get out of the workshop?

  • Practical experience in how to make good use of waste materials
  • A handmade notebook that you can use practically – either as a gift or for your own use
  • An introduction to the craft of bookbinding
  • The opportunity to try working with bookbinding machines under the guidance of an instructor (an experienced bookbinder)

Reformát focuses on upcycling waste and unusable materials and processing them into paper products and other items. The products it manufactures include photo albums, notebooks, blank diaries, notepads, and many others. In recent years, it has also been focusing on the zero-waste lifestyle and creating products that help you apply it—reusable and washable garbage bags, food bags, and bags for packaging-free shopping. The brand focuses on sustainable development, working with secondary materials, bookbinding, and, last but not least, graphic design.
